Laundry Card Tips for The Laundry Place

Table of Contents
If you're still counting quarters before laundry day, this post will save you money and at least one trip to the bank.
What the card system actually does#
Every Laundry Place location runs on the FasCard system. One card (or the mobile app) works at all nine metro locations. Load value once, tap to start any washer or dryer, and your balance carries over forever — no expiration.
The bonus money most people miss#
Here's the part that matters for your wallet: loading larger amounts earns bonus credit. Instead of adding $5 at a time, load $20 or more and the system adds bonus value on top — free wash money, every time. Over a year of weekly laundry, the difference adds up to multiple free loads. Check the kiosk at your store for the current bonus tiers.
Skip the card entirely#
Prefer your phone? The FasCard app does everything the physical card does:
- Start machines from your phone — no card swipe needed
- Check machine availability before you leave home, so you never show up to a full house
- Get a notification when your cycle finishes instead of babysitting the dryer
- Reload from anywhere with a stored payment method
Three tips regulars swear by#
- Register your card. An unregistered card is like cash — lose it, lose the balance. A registered card can be frozen and your balance moved to a replacement. Takes two minutes at thelaundryplace.com/register-card.
- Check your balance online. No need to visit a kiosk — thelaundryplace.com/check-balance shows your current balance instantly.
- One card per household is plenty. Balances are shared, and anyone can start a machine with it. Some families keep the card in the laundry basket so it never wanders.
Cash still works too#
To be clear: we're not forcing anyone off cash. Every store still takes it, along with every major card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The laundry card just happens to be the option that pays you back for using it.
