Community at the Mat

Wash day goes faster with company. Community at the Mat is the in-store meetup board for regulars at The Laundry Place — check in at your laundromat, see who else is mid-cycle, and turn a spare 40 minutes into a conversation instead of a scroll.

How it works

1. 1Check in. Tell the board which of our nine Des Moines–area stores you are at. Your check-in expires on its own when your load is done.
2. 2See who is around. Browse neighbors checked in at the same location, and meetups scheduled at a store near you.
3. 3Meet in the open. Everything happens in-store, during business hours, in public view of the floor.

Who can join

Community at the Mat is open to Laundry Place customers 18 and older with a verified account or loyalty card. Profiles are reviewed, check-ins are limited to our own locations, and you can report or block anyone at any time. Read our terms of service and privacy policy for the full rules.
